Match Analysis:
Toss: South Africa. India ensured victory in the three-match series after another poor performance by South Africa, though the game was overshadowed by the revelation that the touring team had, in effect, accused the Indians of cheating by tampering with the ball during the opening match. Having been put in after fog delayed the start, India's openers, Sidhu and Srikkanth, put on 130 in 28 overs. The later batsmen failed to capitalise on this start and South Africa were going well at 144 for three. But the Indians held some good catches in the deep - Kapil Dev's to dismiss Richardson was superb - and the result was not in doubt for long.

╠═• KC Wessels was awarded the MOM for scoring a knock of 71 runs in 96 balls which included six 4's.

Match Analysis:
Toss: India. South Africa's first officially blessed representative match in almost 22 years, first one-day international and first-ever game against India attracted a crowd widely claimed as beating the world record for a day's cricket of 90,800. However, Jagmohan Dalmiya, president of the Cricket Association of Bengal, said Eden Gardens now contained 90,452 seats and estimates putting the attendance higher included all the various officials, pressmen, policemen and peanut vendors.Wessels's 50 was made too slowly. South Africa were given some hope when Donald took three wickets in his first four overs, but Tendulkar and the débutant Praveen Amre took India towards victory. Even in defeat, the South Africans were still overwhelmed by the occasion: I know how Neil Armstrong felt when he stood on the moon, said their captain Rice.

Infosacten Report:
This was Sachin Tendulkar’s 19th match and he got his 3rd Man of the Match award. Sachin Tendulkar who came when India was tottering at 3 for the loss of 2 wickets played a brilliant innings which included 8 boundaries and a six. He played sensibly along with Indian Captain Mohammed Azharuddin & debutant Pravin Amre adding crucial 40 and 56 runs for the 4th & 5th wicket respectively before Donald struck once again for the Proteas dismissing Tendulkar for an individual score of 62 runs from 73 balls.Sachin’s performance made sure that India won the match by 3 wickets remaining with 6.2 overs to spare.Sachin Tendulkar & Allan Donald shared the Man of the Match award for the brilliant performance in a match which saw both teams fighting tooth & nail till the finish.

Match Analysis: Toss: India. Pakistan set up victory with the highest score of the tournament, and made sure of it through Aqib Javed's hat-trick. It was the seventh in limited-overs internationals, and his figures of seven for 37 were the best in all such cricket. He initiated India's collapse in his first over, dismissing Sidhu, but the fatal blows were struck in his third, as Shastri, Azharuddin and Tendulkar were lbw to the third, fourth and fifth balls. Aqib's performance overshadowed his colleagues' earlier exploits: Zahid Fazal and Salim Malik added 171 for the third wicket; Zahid had hit eight fours and a six in 120 balls when he was carried off the field with cramp.

Infosacten Report: This was one of the bad days for the Master when he got out on a duck and couldent do much with the ball also giving off 24 runs from his 5 overs with no wickets.

╠═•SV Manjrekar scored a good knock of 52 from 69 balls which included three 4's and two 6's.
